Sinking

Breathing drawing me under, captivating spell swirling, drawing me darker.

Believing there would be light washing my past misgivings.

Rather than redemption, my care sunk us, essence robbed from my body.

Concurrence slipped me under, entranced by your eyes, stilled by your smile, weighed by your caress.

Slowly losing air, spilling my mind, leaching my soul.

Leaving me balled, trying to hold these shattered pieces together.

Nothing left to pull together. Too broken to ever feel whole.

Stealing my pieces as you drifted away.
